1. How active are you?
I do yoga every day, go to the gym 2-3 times a week, and like to run hills at Fryman Canyon 1-2 times a week as well.
2. Why is it important to eat healthy?
When I started eating healthy, it was really just an experiment to see if what I ate determined my energy levels/attitude/overall
if I felt better. And it did. I think everyone should take a look at what they eat and how they feel health wise and ask themselves
if they’re satisfied.
3. What’s the best way to eat healthy?
When it comes to food, I like to keep things very simple. I try to start and end every day with a fruit smoothie (yogurt, OJ, peanut
butter, strawberries, blueberries, banana, and 1/2 cup protein powder-I’m a skinny guy trying to gain weight), like to have a snack
of carrots and celery, bowl of kale at night, some type of whole grain pasta, eggs, almonds, peanuts, spinach, and a veggie burger.
Most days I eat all these things. That works for me. Just take a look at what you eat and what you think is unhealthy and try to replace
it with healthier options. If you snack on candy, replace it with peanuts/almonds. If you drink soda, replace it with water. If you eat
unhealthy, sugar and trans fat filled protein bars, replace them with lifehealthBAR (and buy several thousand of them, 🙂 )
Just experiment and tweak your diet and see what works.
4. Favorite meal?
Veggie burger, whole grain bun, one sunny side up egg, avocado, and a glass of almond milk. Or a smoothie. I love smoothies.
